Our mission

We believe that help with mental health and addiction should be as accessible and normal as visiting any other doctor. Too often people wait months or years before asking for help because of fear, shame or uncertainty about where to turn. Our goal is to remove these barriers: to answer the phone at any hour, to talk to people respectfully, to explain everything clearly and to offer treatment that actually works.

We see our patients as partners. Every treatment decision is discussed openly, alternatives are explained, and the person always has the right to ask questions, take time to think and change their mind. We also involve family members when the patient agrees, because recovery is easier with support from loved ones.

Evidence-based medicine

Our doctors rely on methods whose effectiveness and safety have been confirmed by scientific research and international clinical guidelines. This applies to diagnosis, medication, psychotherapy and rehabilitation. We avoid unproven methods and do not promise miracle cures: honest information about what treatment can and cannot achieve is part of our professional responsibility.

Medication is prescribed only when it is clearly indicated, in an individually selected regimen and with regular monitoring. Psychotherapy — particularly cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy — is an integral part of treatment. Our specialists continuously update their knowledge and discuss complex cases together to choose the best approach.

Our team

Our team brings together a psychiatrist-narcologist, a psychiatrist, a narcologist (addiction specialist), a psychotherapist and a clinical psychologist. Supported by nursing staff, they work as one team and provide comprehensive care for adults, adolescents and older patients, from the first consultation to long-term follow-up.

Psychiatrists and addiction specialists work as one team. This matters because mental health problems and addiction are often closely connected, and treating them together gives better results. For patients who prefer English, we arrange consultations with doctors who can conduct them in English.

Anonymity and confidentiality

Treatment at PsyHelp24 is anonymous and does not lead to registration with state psychiatric or addiction registers. Information about the fact of seeking help, the diagnosis and treatment is a medical secret protected by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We do not share it with employers, educational institutions or other third parties.

Our home visits are discreet: doctors arrive without marked vehicles or uniforms that might attract the attention of neighbors. We explain in advance in which cases documents are required, for example when an official medical certificate is needed, so that every patient can make an informed choice.

Available 24/7

Mental health crises and complications of addiction do not follow office hours, so neither do we. The clinic works 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. At any time you can call or write on WhatsApp, receive a free phone consultation with a doctor and, if needed, book an urgent home visit.

Our inpatient unit also operates around the clock, with doctors and nurses on duty at all times. This allows us to admit patients at night, monitor their condition continuously and respond quickly to any changes.

Formats of care

We offer several formats so that everyone can find the most suitable option. In-clinic appointments allow a thorough examination and additional diagnostics. Home visits are suitable for acute conditions, for patients who cannot travel and for those who value maximum privacy. Online consultations are convenient for follow-up appointments and for patients in other cities or abroad.

When outpatient treatment is not enough, we provide care in a day hospital or in our own round-the-clock inpatient unit. After discharge, patients continue to be followed up by their doctor, and rehabilitation programs help consolidate the result.

Care for expats and visitors

Kazakhstan is home to a growing international community, and many people who come here for work or study have no familiar doctor nearby. We understand how difficult it can be to talk about personal matters in a foreign language, so consultations in English are available on request. Just let us know when you contact us.

We can also help you understand how private psychiatric and addiction care works in Kazakhstan, what to expect at the first appointment, and how your privacy is protected. If you already take medication prescribed abroad, our doctor will review it and help you continue treatment safely.

License and safety

PsyHelp24 operates under state license for medical activity No. 21000251 dated 08.01.2021. All our doctors have the required medical education and qualifications, and the clinic complies with the standards of medical care established in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
